Our House League (HL) has eight teams of 12 participants in each team.
The HL plays Doubles and Mixed-Doubles on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting mid-May.
Two teams play each other from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm while two other teams play from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm.
This means four teams play on Tuesday and the other four on Thursday. Your team will not play in the same time slot every week.
Teams play each other according to weekly rotations as set in the schedule of play.
The rotations ensure all teams get to play each other throughout the season.
The scores of each evening are recorded by the team captains and published on the web site.
New members to MWTC who join the House League, must be rated by our club Pro.
These ratings are necessary to ensure players are paired up evenly and play opponents at their own level.
This ensures your House League matches remain challenging, competitive, and fun.
The date/time of the ratings session will be emailed to all HL participants.
Returning members do not need to be re-rated, but they may wish to do so.
We recommend you get re-assessed if you have improved your game during the winter months.
Please make sure you get out and play before the ratings session! You will be rated too low if you are still rusty from taking the winter off.
Tennis Canada publishes a Self Rating Guide (opens in new window/tab)
which our Pro use as a guideline to rate all HL participants.
We request that members are at a level 3.0 or above to join house league - this means you can serve, maintain a rally on both forehand and backhand with a moderate pace, and hit easy volleys.

Lakeshore League (Starts mid-May)
The Lakeshore League is a competitive inter-club league.
The teams are selected by tryouts with the Club Pro, in late April/early May.
Each year, MWTC has two teams which compete at different levels.
Our home games are on Monday nights at 7PM until the matches are finished, usually around 9 to 9:30pm.
Come on out on Monday nights to support your fellow club members as they compete against other clubs!
(Starts in May)
The purpose of a ladder is to challenge players that are higher on the ladder, beat them,
and take their spot (or rung), thereby moving up the ladder.
If the challenger wins, he/she takes the rung of the challenged player, while the loser (and any players in between) moves down one rung.
Players do not move if the challenger loses. Players may challenge up to 3 rungs above their current rung.
If a player does not respond to a challenge within 3 days, please contact the ladder co-ordinator so the match can be awarded to you and you can continue up the ladder.
Meet new players and get to play more singles matches - join one of our ladders!
