Progressive Tennis (Juniors)
Meadowvale West Tennis Club has adopted Progressive Tennis which was developed in
European countries like France and Belgium. It's a systematic approach in which children play
half-court and 3/4 court using graduated balls, racquets, laid down lines and nets to scale the game
down to an appropriate level for 5-9 year olds. This method is used by many countries around the
world and is endorsed by Tennis Canada.
1/2 court - Little Aces Program (5-7 yrs)
This program introduces players to the basic fundamentals of tennis through a progression of
drills and games in 1/2 court. Students are taught proper grip and introductory tennis strokes
while developing footwork, hand-eye coordination and balance. Parent assistance
per child is requested.
